The dream should be something so exciting that you will never give up on; something to embrace and hold onto,
even if someone laughs at it and say it is not a realistic dream to keep. Here's the story about a brand built on the foundation of the one-of-a-kind dream,
Namdareungamjatang, that stands with a vision to provide the one-of-a-kind gamjatang to the customers in all around the world.

The Courage to Start Over from a Scratch

In 2006, there was the birth of the predecessor of Namdareungamjatang, “Gamjatang Bohara”. It was a brand with the concept of “healthy gamjatang,” which still stands with us. But there was nothing unique that stand out from the other gamjatang brands.

So, we have decided to start all over again from a scratch.
The goal that make heart beat faster was more important than the effort and expense that were already spent.

3.5 Years, 2.5 Million Dollars

3.5 years of preparation & 2.5 million dollars of investment were burdensome but not enough compared to our will – the will to create the innovative breakthrough.

One day, just another day of our day & night meetings, a staff bought tteokbokki for a snack and said, “Isn’t this tteokbokki really a one-of-a-kind?” At that moment, I felt excitement brightening up my mind. “One-of-a-kind" was the value that we wanted to achieve with our efforts & investment.

Sincerity is The One-of-a-kind Start Line

On October 10, 2010, we launched the world’s first gamjatang brand for men’s health, Namdareungamjatang.

We chose the 10th day of the 10th month with the motto of “Men of Korea, Let’s live enthusiastically*!” 10 years after the IMF financial crisis, we have finally invented the healthy gamjatang with hopes to cheer & encourage Korean men who have strove to rebuild our country and families.
